Thankyou to all that were at the Bellingen Markets last Saturday and really enjoyed the music. For those who bought one of the CD's we hope you're still enjoying it. Broadfoot had a great day, the weather was utterly superb, Bellingen Park was looking splendid. Many thanks to Neil for having us back and and hopefully we'll be able to make it back again next year.
A few hours after the markets finished Broadfoot launched into it again at The Federal Hotel in the centre of Bellingen. We had a great time, the dancing was fervent, the vibe a merry one. Thankyou to the Federal and hopefully we'll be back there again next year too! This Friday the 25th Broadfoot make their debut at the Pottsville Beach Sports Club. We're looking forward to this new experience and hope the patrons will be keen for a dance and warm to the Broadfoot sound. The show starts at 7:30pm. Saturday the 24th Broadfoot appeared at the Australian Longboard Surfing Open in Kingscliff at 3pm. The stage was a good size with a large PA, really enlarging Broadfoot's big sound a whole lot more. 'Twas a fun gig and some of it was recorded and can be viewed on Youtube -' The Timeless Groove' will soon be on there too.
For those not new to visiting the pages of Broadfoot's website you will notice we have a new header image - this was taken at the Longboard Open. Broadfoot are also pleased that Lismore based radio station 2ZZZ 100.9 FM have been giving regular airtime to one of the band's new original songs - 'Love is Flying'. Can't wait until the weekend? Last year Broadfoot recorded one of their shows at the Bangalow Hotel. The gig was fun with a supportive audience and there were some great results with the recording. To the left is a taste of the night's music - Cliff's new song 'That's Not Alright' and an up-tempo version of the NCEIA Dolphin Award winning 'The Timeless Groove'. 'That's Not Alright' was relatively new to the band at this time and came together beautifully. Broadfoot were amazed on listening back to 'The Timeless Groove' how much the gig's energy had revved up the tempo.

Last November Broadfoot performed live in the 2 TLC-FM
studio, Yamba's community radio station, playing some of their own
songs as well as some covers which were to be on display at the Pacific Hotel later that night. Broadfoot were interviewed by Gary and Stu
and the vibe was fun. Some tracks from Broadfoot's studio recordings
were also played and discussed. The studio was small, just enough to
allow acoustic guitars, a small bass rig and hand percussion. It was
very amusing watching Stu having to crawl out on his knees in between
Broadfoot band members as they performed in order to move elsewhere in
the studio. The live results can be enjoyed here.
